Paektu (a volcano on the China-North Korea border) causes massive earthquakes and ashfall across the Korean peninsula, government official Jeon Yoo-kyung (Jeon Hye-jin) initiates an operation based on the research of geologist Kang Bong-rae ( Ma Dong-seok).
